i will start off by requesting prayers for healthy pregnancies and babies for my daughter emily and daughter in law val, who are both due the beginning of august! praise God for the gifts of more grandbabies for me to love :)
i am sure that there are many more praises that we can post and many requests for God's healing and requests for husbands to find jobs that they will enjoy, requests for us as we parent teenagers, etc!

I really like your idea Mary Leeuw! I would like to ask for prayers for my Uncle Joe's recovery as he just had a 11 hour surgery to remove a cancerous growth on his spine. And I would like to thank God for answering our prayers, the doctors were able to remove the whole tumor and the margins are clear!!
ReplyDeleteI would also like to ask for prayers for my little 97 year old Grandma who fell this week and was in the hospital. Her artificial hip joint is worn out and they won't do surgery to fix it due to her age. I pray that she continues to be able to walk with little pain and that she remembers to ask for help getting up.
One more, sorry!!! I don't want to hog the prayers. My friend Beth's son Josh has to have open heart surgery this month to have two valves replaced. He's only 20 years old, but apparently had undiagnosed rheumatic fever as a child and his heart is in very poor shape.
Thanks so much to anyone who is willing to offer their prayers. These people have been on my heart.

Mary I think this is a wonderful idea...Prayers for all who have chronic pain friends and family. I am so thankful there is no snow or ice on the side walks and roads as this is so scary now to walk on. I Pray for all the people I work with doctors and peers...that they have a good week....
ReplyDeleteSpecial prayer requests for Karen Kalkman and her family. Jack will require 2 thoracic surgeries to repair aortic arch and then to repair the descending aorta (separate surgeries). The vessels are in grave danger of rupturing. Jack and Karen are at peace with the decision. The surgery will be scheduled the end of February or beginning of March.

Dear Father, i also want to lift Karen and Jack up to You, we know You are the Great Healer, the Greatest Physician that ever was and is, we acknowledge that You that know the number of days each one of us have to live on this earth. I pray that if it be Your will, You will be with the drs that do Jack's surgery, that You will guide each move they make and that you will restore Jack to full health. I do not doubt that You are able, I pray that You are willing to do this. Our hope is in You, Lord. Please be with Karen and Jack and their family, give them the peace that only You can give as they go forward with planning this very dangerous surgery. ReplyDeletePrayer request for my dad who is in TU right now with a PE. They did a CAT scan today and found not only the PE in the right lung but also that the cancer in the left lung has grown again. He has been on many different types of chemo and they all seem to work for a bit and then stop working. He is going to be at HH for a couple days while they get him started on blood thinners so please pray that things go well for that and also pray for strength for my mom as she is his main caregiver.
ReplyDeletewe, as katie leech's bbc family, rejoice with her and her hubby and family in the great news of her TWIN pregnancy!!we are so thankful to God for blessing her with these 2 growing babies! but right now katie could use all of our prayers to get thru this time of nausea and vomiting that she is experiencing. katie doesn't complain or let on, but she has been very ill! please pray that God would take this away, and soon! continue to pray for health and strength for katie and that the babies continue to grow and develope into healthy full term twins in mid august!!!
